When Russian journalist Yulia Vishnevets moves to Germany for work, her three young children struggle to adapt to change. Until they meet circus enthusiast Hanspeter Kurzhals, a man with a big heart and a big hole in it made by a travelling circus woman named Carmen. In a bid to help Hanspeter reconnect with his old flame, Yulia sets on a journey to find Carmen. A road movie with a flair of comedy and drama, this film is a tender reflection on the circus of life, love and the dying trade.
