One day, while clearing branches and bark from our makeshift badminton court in the gardens of Villa Massimo, I noticed the remarkable forms of dried eucalyptus bark. In that moment, my project Corteccia Massimo was born. A small selection got exhibited at Villa Massimo during Festa Dell'Arte 2026.

So my family and I have been living in Rome for almost a year as guests of Villa Massimo, thanks to my partner Barbara Yelin's fellowship. It has been a wonderful year, full of new impressions and experiences.
Our time here ended with the annual Festa dell'Arte, a great opportunity to present some of the work I created during my stay in Rome. I'm very grateful for this unforgettable year and everything it has brought.

They are here :)
The books arrived and the first orders are already on their way. So happy with how the books turned out.

New books are coming soon!
I just have been on press this week for not one, not two, but three new books. "Don't mention the war" will finally find a home in a hardcover book. And "Somewhere In Mountains" and "You can’t get any further away, before you start coming back" will be released as smaller, zine-like softcovers. All under my new publishing moniker Super/Carta. More details soon!

Throwback to making "Don't mention the war"
For everyone who likes to know, this is the camera I used on Alderney. The mighty Toyo 45AII, heavy but worth it.

The new darkroom
So good to have my own darkroom again. It is small but it feels like a Time Machine, the smell of fresh chemicals and the meditative action of rocking the dishes, it is just wonderful.
